Winter Arts Fest Coming To Northeast Georgia Mountains

Four venues. 145 artists. And a setting that is straight out of a landscape painting. This is what you’ll find when you come to the Winterfest Arts & Coach Tour in the Helen, Georgia, area, February 16-17, 2019.Winterfest logo

This mountain region has long been known as a haven for artists, and their talents will be on full display for this fest, which is a compilation of four shows at four different venues—Unicoi State Park & Lodge, Helen Arts & Heritage Center, Hardman Farms Historic Site and Sautee Nacoochee Center (SNC). Visitors can park at either Unicoi State Park or the SNC and enjoy a Hop On/Off Coach Service to each of the locations.

The 44th Annual Fireside Arts and Crafts Show at Unicoi State Park & Lodge will feature more than 70 artists and crafters. An indoor Arts and Crafts Marketplace will take place at at the Helen Arts & Heritage Center. Look for live demonstrations and more original works representing the North Georgia Appalachian Foothills at the Hardman Farm Historic Site and Sautee Nacoochee Art Festival logothe SNC, a haven for visual and performing arts.

There is no charge for the festival at each venue, but there is a $10 multi-part ticket and wristband charge to ride the Hop On-Off Coach. Raffle tickets will be sold at each venue for regional artists’ prizes.

Come early for the fest and you can take part in the kick-off Preview Party & Reception at the Sautee Nacoochee Center on Friday, February 15. Cost is $25 dollars for non members. Reservations due by February 11, 2019.
