Spring Art Festivals in the Northeast Georgia Mountains

April 21-22, 2018
Bear on the Square Mountain Festival, Dahlonega. It’s a bit last minute, but if you can make it, this is great time to enjoy a slice of Appalachia. Bluegrass and old-time music highlight the celebration that includes a juried art show featuring traditional crafts, storytelling, dancing, free music workshops, and more entertaining events.

April 28-29, 2018
Celebrate Clayton Art Festival. About a 40-minute drive from Lucille’s, Clayton goes all out for this annual event. Presented by the North Georgia Arts guild, it features an Artist Market with more than 100 artists, live music, a student art competition, and an array of food options. It’s all for a good cause too—proceeds help fund scholarships for local students.

Toast of Toccoa. Works from more than 50 artists from the Curahee Artists Guild, as well as other regional organizations will be on display. Enjoy live music, craft beer, regional wine tastings, and local food during the afternoon fest.
