For anyone who enjoys outdoor activities, Unicoi State Park is like a gold mine. With acres of wilderness intersected by cool streams, the 1029-acre park provides year-round pleasure for all age groups. Dining Al Fresco In North Georgia Mountains

On nice summer evenings (which is pretty much every night!), there is nothing quite as wonderful as dining under the stars. Luckily we have three great places to do that in our area, where the food is delightful as the mountain air. The Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria, a fave restaurant for us all year long, has just updated its patio. North GA Inn Embraces Going Green

While we’re busily working on some room renovations here at the Inn, we’ve also been working on making the Inn more “green.” Our goal is to not only be beautiful on the outside, but to be stellar through and through. So we’ve been working “under the hood,” as it were, adding new HVAC to the new rooms, putting in high efficiency appliances and LED bulbs throughout the place. Oh, and candles now have rechargeable batteries! BLT Breakfast Recipe is Easy & Delicious

We started with a BLT, made a few tasty adjustments and ended up with a delectable breakfast dish we call BEAT (bacon, egg, avocado, tomato).  Bonus: it’s easy! BEAT Ingredients: Good bread for toast (We like sourdough from our local bakery) Eggs Bacon slices, cooked Fresh avocado Fresh tomato Siracha (or if you prefer less heat, aioli) Fresh herbs for garnish For each serving: Place a piece of toast on a plate. Top with one fried egg, avocado slices and a tomato slice.
