Habersham Community Theater: The Odd Couple (Female Version)

We love to share with our guests the unique entertainment choices we have here in the north Georgia mountains, and one of our favorite venues to recommend is the Habersham Community Theater. It’s a local favorite in downtown Clarkesville, GA and showcases the dramatic talents of many local thespians. (In fact, our very own on-site Operations Manager, Lydia Bennett, will be showcasing her talents in this upcoming show!) The Odd Couple [female version] is the next big production that you won’t want to miss!

The Story

The plot is written by Neil Simon and inspired by his wildly successful play of the same name, but with a twist. The “odd couple” in this take on the story, are two friends who are unexpectedly thrown into a situation that has them both wondering if their friendship can survive their differences. Olive Madison is a free-spirit and doesn’t see the need to keep things tidy or plan carefully. Her friend Florence Unger, on the other hand, is almost neurotic when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene. When the two become unexpected roommates, the differences are magnified and hilarity ensues.
