This homegrown business started in 2014 as the area’s first growler shop and has evolved into a casual place to unwind, connect with friends, listen to live music, and enjoy the taste of fine craft beers.
Whistle Top Brew Company was started by a father-son duo. Gary Hulsey, the owner of Hulsey’s Appliance and Refrigeration, located next door to Whistle Top, helped his son Scott convert part of his storefront into a growler shop. And as they say, the rest is history. The father and son team did all the work themselves to take an empty space and turn it into the charming gathering place that it is now.
Try out their crisp “Sandy Blonde” or go for the sour “Hay Fever”, which is always a big hit for sour fans who like a funky brew. “Honey Heartbreak” is another guest favorite, made of “real honey and real heartbreak”. Half the fun of a visit to Whistle Top Brew Company is deciding which flavors to bring home with you in their custom growlers. Hang onto those growlers, too, because you can bring them back later for a refill.
