If you’ve never done a grape-stomp before, you won’t want to miss the chance at this year’s Crush Fest hosted by Yonah Mountain Vineyards. On August 24, thousands of folks from all around the region will flock to this wine-growing hub for a chance to participate in this traditional method of wine-making.

The rolling hills of north Georgia are the perfect environment for Yonah Mountain Vineyards signature red wine, Genesis, now in it’s tenth edition. The vineyard has also made significant upgrades since last year, including a massive solar panel array, the first of it’s kind at a Georgia winery. So not only is the wine top-notch, you can also feel good about the clean energy that went into it.

Crush Fest showcases everything there is to love about a winery visit all packed into one day. Besides wine-tastings, there will be food trucks on hand, as well as an artisan market, live music, and a guitar and accordion performance by vineyard owners, Bob and Jane Miller. You won’t want to miss this!

Tickets are available now for $40 ($45 on the day of). Festival activities begin at 11am and will carry on into the evening. Be sure to check out the Atlanta Pipe Band and Atlanta Pro Drumline, who will be doing performances hourly.

Don’t forget to buy a bottle or three from the selection of the vineyard’s new releases for your own cellar–and of course, we have some of their wines available at the Inn that you can enjoy while watching the sunset on Lucille’s back porch.

Be sure to book a room early at Lucille’s before they sell out! (706-878-5055) This event is always extremely popular.
