Two men flyfishing on the river.Anglers have long loved fishing in the Chattahoochee River, which runs right through the quaint Bavarian town of Helen. But once here, you’ll discover a wealth of other great fishing spots all around the area. To thoroughly enjoy the experience, contact one of the area guide services that know these waters inside and out, such as Unicoi Outfitters in Helen or Blackhawk Fly Fishing in Clarksville. Looking for a good reference book? Check out Fly Fishing Georgia: A No Nonsense Guide to Top Waters by David Cannon (who also snapped the photos shown here).

Early spring is a great time for flyfishing, so plan to come to Lucille’s Mountaintop Inn & Spa a few days earlier than the tournament to test the waters. (If your partner doesn’t fish, bring them along for a day at The Spa at Lucille’s!) That way you can take advantage of our Pick Your Own Special. Choose whichever of our special offers you’d like and enter the special’s code when you book online, or just mention it to the Innkeepers when you call us at 706-878-5055. The offer is good through March 28, 2019. It’s a great way to enjoy savings and a leisurely longer stay too!
