Georgia Mountains Vineyard Hosts Crust Fest In August

Lucy doesn’t get to have all the fun—participants at the 2018 Yonah Mountain Vineyards Crush Fest can get barefoot and do a little stomping of their own! The popular event is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2018.

A long-range view of the winery, vineyrards, and mountains in the background. The family-owned winery is located amid gently rolling hills on the southeastern base of Yonah Mountain, making it an ideal place to spend a sunny summer day. The popular all-day event, which can draw more than 5,000 visitors, is an unveiling party for the winery’s newest releases. Visitors will get a chance to taste these and other wines from the collections.

But the highlight of Crush Fest is undoubtedly the festival’s signature event, a traditional barefoot stomping of grapes, accompanied by live accordion and guitar music performed by winery owners Bob and Jane Miller. Kick off your sandals, hike up your pants or skirt and get in on the fun!

In addition to the music at the stomping, there will be live performances throughout the day from regional and national artists, as well as hourly presentations by the Crush Fest Drumline and the Atlanta Pipe Band. Food trucks and vendors will also be on hand to keep everyone sated and happy.
