Wander North Georgia was conceived as an online travel site, offering first-hand information and insights on natural places—our mountain waterfalls, for instance—where to eat and stay, artisan businesses, and other things residents and visitors might be interested in. The key to its success is the company’s ambassadors: the writers, photographers, and explorers who gather the information. They’re the wanderers who bring their expertise and experiences to the website, and now the store.
The physical Wander North Georgia Store is located in the mountain town of Clayton, a lovely 40-minute drive northeast of Lucille’s. Visiting it is like stopping by for a chat with a friend. Walk in and you can enjoy a cup of coffee or play a game of bocce ball as you pick the brains of the staff for suggestions of what to do and see based on what you like. In addition to chitchat, you can shop the store for casual clothing, hats, mugs, and accessories.
