Lucille’s Local Favorites from the North Georgia Mountains

We love to give our guests the full North Georgia Mountain Experience when they stay with us. From the way we show our southern hospitality with all the small touches in the inn, to the products and services we offer that support other local businesses. When you visit Lucille’s you’ll feel like a local in all the best ways. Whether you stay here in Sautee Nacoochee or you venture out to Helen and beyond, rest assured you’ll have all the best amenities the area has to offer!

  • Jumpin Goat Coffee Roasters — Any coffee enthusiast will tell you, a good cup of joe first thing in the morning is essential to the start of a good day. We only serve Jumpin Goat Coffee because we know our guests need that delicious jolt to get their day started on the right foot. If you like what you taste at the inn, their quaint shop is just down the mountain from us on your way to downtown Helen. Pick up a few bags and a snack or two and sit on their porch while you sip and listen to the nearby creek.
  • Hansel and Gretel Chocolates — David and Janet Jones started Hansel and Gretel Candy Kitchen in 1973, and they haven’t looked back. With several retail locations in Helen, their candy is nothing short of a local staple, and once you taste their products, you’ll understand why. If you’re a chocolate lover, you’ll want to pay a visit to their factory or main store in downtown Helen to catch a glimpse of the chocolate being made or to enjoy a wide variety of sweets and treats! Make sure to try out their chocolate-covered fruit!
  • Willow Pottery — Did you know the North Georgia mountain region has a long and proud history of supporting and celebrating the art of folk pottery? Many wildly celebrated potters have called North Georgia their home (including famous families such as the Meaders, Hewells, Dorseys, and Fergusons). We continue this beautiful tradition by offering soap dishes for sale from Willow Pottery. The simple, rustic beauty of these quality pieces are only made better by the fact that they are made locally by passionate artists, Ben Dockins and Betsy Ledbetter. Take one home with you to remember your incredible getaway!
  • Local Meats and Farm Vegetables — We source as much of the food we serve as possible from local farmers. We are proud to have developed lasting, personal relationships with them that mean we get the freshest meat and produce available!
  • Local Wines — North Georgia is well-known for its vineyards and award-winning wines. We serve several local varieties of wine at the inn, including Yonah Mountain, Serenity Cellars, and Cottage Vineyard wines. Sip your favorite flavors on our back porch while you enjoy the sunset over the rolling mountains!

The small businesses that call North Georgia home are dedicated to providing high-quality goods and services, and we here at Lucille’s are proud to be part of that heritage. We love supporting our local economy, and we know you will too! So book a stay with us and come see why we love to call the North Georgia mountains our home!
